The Art of Collaborative Leadership
This special five-day training is designed for leaders working within and between key policy change sectors who wish to enhance their skills in areas of both leadership and collaboration, including an examination of power (personal, positional and institutional), strategy and performance, and personal and organizational sustainability. Typically offered in partnership with foundations that support a given sector, the program convenes diverse participants coming from both national "inside the beltway" groups and local grassroots organizations.
The Art of Collaborative Leadership draws from the same training curriculum as the Art of Leadership while adding a fifth day for participant-driven dialogue to allow for authentic conversation and collaborative work within a given sector. Sectors supported by the program have included leaders working in environmental health and environmental justice, women working across racial justice and human rights issues, and leaders working in climate change and climate justice.
